Mary Jo Imperato is the Director of Human Services for Hanover Township. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia College with a focus in Business Administration and Human Resource Management. Mary Jo has worked for Hanover Township for 20 years with 16 years in Human Services. She was the President of the Illinois Township Association of General Assistance Caseworkers from 2014 to 2022 and currently serves as the Association’s Treasurer. In addition to GA and EA, Hanover Township is a liaison site for CEDA and the Salvation Army, offering additional services to low-income residents as well as provides Veteran Services by having accredited Veteran service Officers on Staff.

Julie Villarreal is the Director of General Assistance for Wheeling Township. She holds a Master’s Degree in Human Services and Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and Spanish. Julie has over 25 years of experience working in General Assistance, including 4 years as a GATI instructor and past President of both TOI and TOCC associations. In addition to GA and EA, Wheeling Township offers a myriad of other services to help low-income residents.
